NREVC History:

NREVC was established in July 2009 by Dr. Kath McIntosh. It began as a single vehicle ambulatory service providing 100% equine focused veterinarian care to the Kyabram-Echuca area.

Within a few short years, the business grew rapidly and necessitated the addition of another veterinarian, with Dr Clare Williams-Patterson joining the team in March 2011. At this time the clinic began servicing Alabar Bloodstock, providing reproduction services from breeding to foal management. With Kath taking on the Assistant to General Manager post, the clinic also operated out of a satellite surgical facility on the property, allowing more complex services to be added to a growing repertoire. As the general health and reproduction services of the clinic became more renowned, locum veterinarians were also introduced to the practice to accommodate clients’ needs during the busy stud seasons.

Looking to provide a more extensive range of services, the clinic expanded further in 2012 with the addition of the 78 Gray Road property just metres down the road from the original base in Kyabram. Big plans were put in motion to develop the property into a purpose built hospital and agistment facility to complement the ambulatory services provided.

With the rapid expansion of the Gray Road property and an ever expanding client base, March 2013 saw the addition of a third associate veterinarian and a full-time equine nurse and farm manager.

In 2014, a fourth full time veterinarian was added to the team whilst continued development of the Gray Road property saw a total revamp of the surgical facilities with the inclusion of two specially designed state of the art padded knock down boxes. In 2019 came the build of a new 16 horse barn with wash bay, stallion collection barn-lab, undercover eight-horse walker and three extra stallion paddocks. This in combination with sheltered day yards and mare and foal hospital facilities has yet again expanded our range of in house services. In 2019, 400 acres of irrigatable pastures only ten minutes away in nearby in Timmering was also purchased.
